In-store promotion in Iași — sampling, tasting and demonstrations

We put the product in the shopper's hand, where the decision is made: next to the shelf. Promoters briefed on your product, day-labour paperwork completed before day one, and written reporting from the field.

What in-store promotion is, and who it is for

In-store promotion is the advertising that happens in the last metre before the purchase decision. A briefed promoter stops the shopper, explains the product, offers a taste or a trial and answers questions. What separates it from every other channel is that the product ends up in the person's hand, not just in front of their eyes.

Advance Service Advertising runs these campaigns out of Miroslava, Iași county. We cover the part that is visible in the store — the people, the materials, the schedule and the report — for companies that have the product and the listing but no team of their own to stand by the shelf for eight hours.

We work to your commercial plan rather than around it: the period, the stores and the message are yours, and we say how many people the plan needs and what can realistically be covered in the time available.

How an in-store promotion campaign runs

The steps below are our standard procedure. How long each takes depends on the number of locations and the chain involved, which is why lead times are not written on this page — they go in the quote, once we have seen the store list.

  1. Step 1

    Brief and campaign plan

We agree the objective, the stores, the days and time slots, the number of promoters per location and the message they carry. The brief produces a written plan — who, where, when and with which materials — which you approve before recruitment starts.

  2. Step 2

    Recruitment and briefing

We select promoters for each city from our roster and brief them on your product: what they say, what they do not say, how they behave in store and what they do when a shopper asks something they do not know. The briefing covers your tone of voice, not only the technical facts.

  3. Step 3

    Day-labour paperwork

Before the team walks into the store we complete the formalities for every person: the entry in the day-labour register, the payment agreement, the GDPR notice and the health-and-safety (SSM) record. The documents stay in the campaign file and can be produced during an inspection.

  4. Step 4

    Materials and store access

We collect or produce the materials — samples, uniforms, stand, print — and send them to the store before day one. We confirm access, the allocated space and the time slot with each location, so the first day is not lost at the door.

  5. Step 5

    Execution in the field

During the campaign the promoters work to the plan, coordinated by a team leader who checks attendance, sample stock and how the product is being talked about. Whatever comes up in store — no stock, the space taken, access refused — you hear about the same day, not in the final report.

  6. Step 6

    Reporting

We report in writing while the campaign runs: attendance per location, activity, materials consumed and observations from the field. At the end you receive the consolidated report for the whole campaign, together with photographs taken where the chain permits photography.

Frequently asked questions

How long before you have people in store?

It depends on the number of locations, the cities and the time of year — recruiting over the holiday season takes longer than in spring. You get a firm date in the quote, once we have seen the store list. A date written on a website, without your list in front of us, would mean nothing.

Who obtains the retail chain's agreement?

The commercial agreement belongs to your listing contract, so it stays with you or your distributor. The operational side is ours: we confirm the date, the time slot and the allocated space with each store before day one.

What happens if a promoter does not show up?

Attendance is confirmed at the start of the shift, so an absence surfaces within the hour, not in the evening. The team leader looks for a replacement in that city, and you learn the same day what happened and how the shift is made up.

Which cities do you work in?

The base is in Miroslava, Iași county, and campaigns are organised from there. Coverage for your period is confirmed in the quote: the list of cities where we have active collaborators changes from season to season, and one written on this page today would be out of date by the time you brief us.

Tell us what you are launching, and where

Send us the store list and the period. We will tell you how many people it takes, what the plan looks like and what the price covers.
